Nativity Catholic School will celebrate literacy and learning by hosting a Fab Vocab Parade. Students in kindergarten through 5th Grade will come to school dressed as a vocabulary word of their choice. Before October 28th, classroom teachers will help students select and approve their vocabulary words. Each student will create a costume that features the vocabulary word and represents the word visually. Students will then explain the meaning of the word to their class and how the costume helps to describe it. All students will then participate in an outdoor parade to showcase their words to other grade levels. Vocabulary costumes can be simply assembled from repurposed items found around the house. There are many examples of costumes online if you need inspiration. We are excited for students to grow their vocabulary in this fun and engaging way!
